Lynbrook Computer Science is an interest group for students of Lynbrook High School. We focus on discussing algorithms and preparing for competitions such as:
- The USA Computing Olympiad (USACO) – contest page
- Held 6 times a year online
- 3-hour competitions, with 4-day windows
- 3 difficulty levels (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
- Silver and Gold are invitation-only (you must perform well to receive an invitation)
- ProCo
- In-person competition organized by Stanford
- Teams of three people
- Cool prizes!
- TopCoder
- Multiple competitions: Algorithms, Architecture Design, Development
- Algorithms event is interactive; challenge other competitiors’ work for points!
- Opportunity for cash prizes, and many software companies recruit here.
- CodeForces
- Contests every 1-2 weeks.
- Problems cover wide difficulty range.
- Highly recommended for beginners.

This club was co-founded in 2008 by David Liu, Brandon Liu, and Ritik Malhotra. Our advisor is Mr. Peck.
